ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Effective from July 2024

This Acceptable Use Policy describes products, services and activities that are prohibited or restricted in connection with your use of Global-e’s Services. Additional restrictions and/or prohibitions may be applicable.

  1. Prohibited

Global-e’s Services are not allowed to be used in connection with any of the following: 

  1. Adult products, services, activities, or content, including but not limited to:
  1. Pornographic or offensive products, services and activities
  2. Fetish items that can cause pain or restrict movement.
  1. Charities and donations
  2. Drugs and any products containing drugs, including but not limited to CBD, THC and Kava Kava
  3. Fresh food and alcoholic beverages
  4. Gambling, sport betting and lotteries
  5. Hate and violence promotion, incitement, or facilitation of hate, violence, harassment or abuse against people based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, political, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or medical condition.
  6. Intellectual property products, services, activities, or content, that infringe any third party's intellectual property rights.
  7. NFTs, virtual/crypto currencies and sales of social media engagement metrics (followers, likes, views). 
  8. Nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals 
  1. Pseudo pharmaceuticals
  2. Online or other non-face-to-face pharmacies or pharmacy referral services and prescription drugs.
  3. Nutraceuticals that offer sexual performance enhancement 
  1. Services including but not limited to governmental, legal, financial and travel services.
  2. Tobacco products
  3. Unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts, products or practices, including but not limited to: 
  1. Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
  2. Pawn shop and bidding fee auctions
  1. Weapons (including knives), firearms, munitions and explosives, including weapons equipment and Items specifically designed for use in offensive or defensive combat operations, including but not limited to:
  1. Military-grade supplies and equipment, such as weapon sights, vests, helmets and body armour plates, excluding camouflage clothing, boots, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, field rations clothing, and flashlights.
  2. Advanced encryption devices and scrambling technology.
  1. Restricted

We may restrict Global-e’s Services or require further investigation if in connection with your use of the Services you offer any product, service, transaction, or activity that involves any of the following: 

  1. Adult products, services, activities or content which are not prohibited.
  2. Car parts
  3. Digital products and services which are not prohibited.
  4. Dual use products which are primarily designed for civilian applications but have the potential to be misused for military purposes or activities that could threaten public safety or national security.
  5.  Endangered or protected animals and wildlife products
  6. Fine art
  7. Hazard materials
  8. High-end jewellery
  9. Medical devices
  10. Membership only or password required products and services which are designated for a limited audience and require certain features, such as membership or password protection, in order to be accessed.
  11. Nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals which are not prohibited.  
  12. Regulated products or services, including any products and services that breach, facilitate or promote any unlawful or regulated activities. 
  1. If, in our sole discretion, we believe that the Services have engaged in any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, we may (with or without notice) take such actions as we deem appropriate to mitigate risk to Global-e and any impacted third parties and to ensure compliance with this Acceptable Use Policy. 

Such actions may include, without limitation:

a. Blocking the settlement or completion of one or more payments;

b. Suspending, restricting or terminating access to and use of Services;

c. Terminating our business relationship, including termination without liability to Global-e of any payment service agreement with Global-e;

d. Taking legal actions;

e. Contacting and disclosing information related to such violations to (i) persons who have purchased goods or services listed herein, (ii) any banks or Card Networks involved with your business or transactions, (iii) law enforcement or regulatory agencies, and (iv) other third parties that may have been impacted by such violations; or

f. Assessing any fees, penalties, assessments or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that we may incur as a result of such violations, which you agree to pay promptly upon notice.

  1. Amendments

This Acceptable Use Policy may be amended by Global-eat any time by posting a new version of it on this webpage.

By accessing or using the Services after a new version is posted, you agree to all amendments reflected therein.
